The Wombby ~ONI-Defense

In the center of the Dragonet Nebula, a small young planet emerges from dark clouds of dust and debris to bask in the light of it's parent star, along with the light of thousands of other young "mother" stars and the luminescent gases flowing through the nebula.

I finally decided to spend time on backgrounds in scenes than just the planet. All my other scenes were dull and had the sad HSV noise generated stars and the gases made from plasma cloud noise. Thanks to some tutorials I will now make more scenes like this.

I also made great use of the overlay and soft light layer modes to make more unique hues.

Painted in GIMP 2.6 with combination of mouse and Bamboo Fun Tablet
